Strictly Come Dancing bosses shut down claims that two celebrity contestants were being unfairly favoured over others, as Zara McDermott was saved in the dance off
Strictly Come Dancing bosses have spoken out in response to favouritism reports, which claimed EastEnders star Bobby Brazier, 20, and documentary maker Zara McDermott, 26, were being favoured over other celebrities on the show.
It had also been rumoured that a few contestants had received preferential treatment from Strictly bosses, however these rumours were quickly shut down as show chiefs have revealed they are “simply untrue”. It comes after a source claimed to The Sun: “Bobby and Zara are very much seen as ‘BBC favourites’ by their Strictly co-stars”.Zara and her dance partner Graziano Di Prima found themselves in the bottom two for the second time on Sunday evening, along with Eddie and his professional dance partner Karen Hauer.
After both couples had danced a second time, the judges unanimously chose to keep Zara in the competition.
