People did not hold back with their comments on social media
Strictly Come Dancing returned to our screens for the first live show but some viewers were left unhappy. The 2023 run of the BBC dance contest began last weekend with the launch show in which the 15 new celebrities discovered their experienced partners, reports Manchester Evening News
Week one opened with a bang by the professional dancers set to Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Tears For Fears. The routine saw many of the dancers performing at an idyllic, scenic, coastal viewpoint before the scene moved back to the Strictly dancefloor, where the rest of the professionals joined the performance. It was Waterloo Road Star, Adam Thomas who opened the show with his partner, Luba Mushtuk with a smiley cha cha to the Jonas Brothers track, Waffle House.
But throughout, particularly during the first few numbers, Strictly fans were flocking to social media in rage as the camera kept panning to show some members of the live audience - and it didn't appear like they wanted to be there with their lacklustre clapping.
