The popular dance contest will return to screens very soon

Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts can now mark their calendars as the BBC has announced the show's comeback. The dance contest's much anticipated return follows months of drama after former contestant Amanda Abbington accused professional dancer, Giovanni Pernice, of being "cruel" and "abusive" during their training sessions, which the pro denies.

Strictly enthusiasts can apply for just one pair of tickets per recording, and successful applicants will be allocated tickets to only one show.

Traditionally, a selection of celebrities and professional dancers from the series hit the road post-season for the live tour. Additionally, there's a separate professionals' tour showcasing the dazzling talents of the dance pros.
