Strictly Come Dancing 's Chris McCausland has opened up about his relationship with his wife, describing her as the "very opposite" of him and a source of "chaos" in their home. The 47 year old comedian, who rose to prominence at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2005, met his future wife Patricia while she was filming a documentary about the festival.
In an appearance on Gyles Brandreth's Rosebud podcast earlier this year, Chris shared insights into their dynamic: "We spent a lot of time together when the camera wasn't running, socialising, going out and doing things, and we just had a lot of fun. We were very opposite, she comes across as very British but she's Brazilian, she came across when she was five or six."
Chris amusingly recounted how conversations in Portuguese with her mother can sound like heated arguments when they're merely discussing daily plans, reports the Liverpool Echo. Working in a call centre at the time, he chose to leave behind his job to pursue stand-up comedy full-time. He described the “adrenaline surge” from live performances, which saw him gigging "four or five times" every week.
