The Strictly professional partnered Will Bayley in the 2019 series but the Paralympian suffered a devastating injury during rehearsals.
Strictly Come Dancing's Janette Manrara has opened up about the 'life-changing' injuries her former dance partner Will Bayley suffered on the show, describing the experience as 'it was hard'. The Paralympic table tennis champion recounted the 'horrific pain' he endured after a rehearsal jump went wrong during the 2019 series. He told the BBC : 'I said, 'I'm not sure I can land safely', but everyone assured me I would be fine.
So of course, he felt frustration, and there were massive repercussions that he had from everything that happened on Strictly. We are still great friends.' After Will's public comments about the show, Janette revealed to Closer that they had spoken and 'know in our hearts' they were an 'amazing team'.
