A representative for the Strictly Come Dancing professional has now issued a statement after she was dragged into the ongoing BBC scandal by one of her former celebrity partners
Strictly Come Dancing professional Janette Manrara has responded after one of her former dance partners said he had suffered a life-changing injury during rehearsals with her. It comes as the BBC competition faces allegations of alleged bullying and misconduct among the professional dancers.
His torn knee ligaments forced him to pull out of the series in 2019 and Bayley said: "I was lying on the floor thinking my whole career was over." The table tennis player has arthrogryposis, a condition which affects all of his limbs, and was also diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma during childhood.
Will, who took part in the show in 2019, made the shocking allegations about his severe injury in an interview over the weekend. He claimed Janette dismissed his jump as 'rubbish' and that he heard his leg crack during the incident. He added: "No one has ever contacted me from the BBC or said sorry. There was no duty of care - I should have been taken to hospital as soon as I had the accident, but all they cared about was trying to get me to dance."
