Strictly Come Dancing enthusiast Lauren Oakley, who swept onto the BBC stage in 2022, quickly captured the hearts of viewers. Introduced as part of the show's ensemble, Lauren sparkled in group routines throughout her first series and then stepped into the limelight with her own celebrity partner in 2023. The Brummie dance star, 33, made headlines when she was matched up with Channel 4 News heavyweight Krishnan Guru-Murphy.
She entered the competitive world of ballroom and Latin beats at the tender age of seven, eventually claiming the juvenile champion title at the prestigious Blackpool Dance Festival. A familiar face among dance aficionados, Lauren has graced the stage in Giovanni Pernice and Anton Du Beke's internationally recognised tour Him and Me, as well as setting stages alight with the renowned Burn the Floor team.
