Strictly Come Dancing champion Joe McFadden has announced he is engaged to his partner Rob, as he gushed over his 'amazing soulmate' and thanked fans for their support
Strictly Come Dancing winner and much-loved actor Joe McFadden has confirmed he is engaged to his partner Rob Smales - taking to social media with an adorable photo of the duo, announcing that he's thrilled to be engaged to his "amazing soulmate".
Joe's Holby City co-star David Ames also commented, writing: "Awww congrats Joe! ". While fans have been equally ecstatic, with messages like: "Oh this is such wonderful news! Huge congratulations to you both - over the moon for you, Joe." Known for keeping his private life away from the press, Joe spoke back in 2017 about being single and focusing on work. "Love is not on the cards for me on this show – certainly not. I don’t know why I’m single. I must be unlovable, I don’t know. Who knows? Maybe I work too hard," he said at the time.
In 2021, the show premiered with Lily Allen in the role of Jenny. Since then, Doctor Who star Mandip Gill, Girls Aloud’s Cheryl, former Love Island host Laura Whitmore, and actor Jamie Winstone have starred as Jenny. The LA version of the show saw Constance Wu in the lead role, while supermodel Gemma Ward played the tortured homeowner in Melbourne.
