Strictly Come Dancing is a popular competition series about to start its 21st season with a brand new line up of celebrities ready to take on the glitzy ballroom. However, over the years more than 200 celebrities have taken part in the BBC show, some of whom are sadly no longer with us.
Paul Daniels Magician Paul Daniels took part in the show in 2010 for its eighth series. He was partnered with professional dancer Orla Jordan, but the pair sadly didn't last long on the show as they were eliminated by the second week. "A much-loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him.”
Lynda Bellingham Lynda Bellingham was an actress and a TV presenter best known for her roles in All Creatures Great and Small and Loose Women. She died in 2014 after suffering from colorectal cancer. She said of Gary: "I have a lot of patience, but he drove me to the edge. You're up against the clock to get a dance ready for the following Saturday. The audience want a spectacular performance, and it was hard for Gary to deliver that in such a short time, with all his other commitments - he has a family and a string of restaurants to run."
