Strictly Come Dancing star Chris McCausland is hoping for better scores this weekend after the judges' feedback to his Quickstep routine left him 'surprised'.

Strictly Come Dancing hopeful Chris McCausland has issued a response to the judges scores and comments for his Quickstep routine last weekend. Despite many viewers claiming his latest dance was his best to date, the 47-year-old and his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell found themselves second bottom of the leaderboard with 32 out of 40 points. On the night, head judge Shirley Ballas told Chris that while his dance was 'joyous' to watch, he needed to work on his frame.

I was a little bit surprised at that score, because it felt like my posture and frame was good.' He added: 'It didn't feel like it was as big an issue as they were making out... but what do I know... they're the experts!'. Chris, who is blind, highlighted the difficulty of taking the judges' comments on board as he can't watch his dances back. 'I thought the posture was decent for a fella who had never danced until a few months ago,' he added.
