Yahya Pandor, who lost his sight when he was 25, says blind representation 'is slowly getting there'.

A disability advocate has highlighted the importance of representation as comedian Chris McCausland appears on Strictly Come Dancing.

"It's really showing what blind people can do and how limitations, obstacles and barriers don't stop us." Mr Pandor added representation of blind people "is slowly getting there" thanks to the televised Paralympics and blind media figures, such as BBC radio presenters.
