They were paired together during the 2023 run of the BBC One dance contest and later emerged victorious during the 21st series of Strictly after seeing off stiff competition from Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin and Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell.
Actress Ellie, who was famed for playing Faye Windass in Coronation Street, has since been seen supporting Vito as he got a new dance partner for the 2024 series. He was seen making it all the way to the final with actress Sarah Hadland before they missed out on the Glitterball trophy to Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell. Now, Vito is preparing to perform in arenas up and down the country with Sarah, just like he did this time last year with Ellie. And it's clearly got former soap star Ellie thinking about when they performed for thousands of fans in 2024. Taking to Instagram, Ellie shared a video of a moment from her touring time with Vito that she's been unable to forget. In the hilarious clip, the 22-year-old takes a tumble on the stage, but styles it out by doing what can only be described as a teddy bear roll and ending up sitting on the stairs. Vito quickly rushes over to check she is OK before they continue on with their routine like true professionals. Ellie wrote alongside the clip: 'In light of the Strictly live tour having started this week I would like to take a moment of silence while we remember that this actually happened to me and to this day I am still traumatised by it thank you. Vito always there to save me.' She then shared a picture of the pair continuing on with the Barbie-inspired routine with huge smiles on their faces, alongside which she added: 'The best time ever.
