DIY SOS star Nick Knowles has been left with no choice but to undergo two surgeries after a freak accident on Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly Come Dancing 's Nick Knowles is taking a page out of Robocop's book as he fights to recover from an arm injury. The DIY SOS presenter took to Instagram to flaunt his new support system, weeks after initially injuring his arm in a freak car tyre-changing accident. Sporting new knee and arm braces, Nick told his followers: "New Robocop knee and arm braces. Getting mobile again and may not need the knee op for a while as it's getting so strong with the braces.
His departure came just hours after making a comeback to the dance competition, having missed Movie Week due to a knee injury. During an episode of Strictly spin-off It Takes Two following his exit, Nick's professional partner Luba Mushtuk was moved to tears as they watched a touching montage of their best moments on the show.
Once he's back on his feet, the TV favourite is keen to hit the dance floor again, especially with his wedding on the horizon. He's even got his Strictly pro partner Luba on board to help choreograph a memorable first dance with his bride-to-be Katie Dadzie.Opening up about his health and departure from the show, Nick shared: "I think it was the right result in the end and it means I can get the various bits falling off sorted.
