Miranda star Sarah Hadland says she's living in a 'parallel universe' as she competes on Strictly Come Dancing - and her professional partner Vito Coppola has noticed too
Over the past two decades, Strictly Come Dancing has become a staple of the festive season build-up, with countless superfans tuning in to watch every rumba, samba, and cha-cha cha. However, not all fans will be merely watching, some will be participating.
Sarah instigated the playful mimicry, she confesses, by imitating Vito's Italian accent: "He'll say 'What are you doing? I don't talk like this.' But now he's retaliating by doing a very good impression of me which is very nasal and shrill". But it's not just superficial changes that the show has brought about, Sarah notes. She reveals that the intense rehearsals have elevated her fitness to an extraordinary level: "I do gym workouts and I enjoy running, I used to run the London Marathon but this is a whole different ball game.", reports the Liverpool Echo.
During Strictly's live shows, Sarah points out, it's crucial to make everything appear effortless, despite how strenuous it may be behind all the sparkle.
