Strictly Come Dancing 's Kristina Rihanoff and her partner, former rugby star Ben Cohen, are reportedly battling severe financial difficulties that threaten their home and relationship, a court has been told.
The Russian-born professional dancer received six points on her driving licence, risking a ban due to accumulating 12 penalty points. She appeared in court on Friday to challenge the driving without insurance charge, with Cohen testifying on her behalf, reports the Mirror. Rihanoff sobbed in court as she revealed her financial struggles after being caught driving uninsured.
The dancer explained that she needed to drive to judge ballroom competitions across the country, which earned her £2,000 a month. She also needed to drive to take her children to school. In his defence, he stated: "I 100 per cent did not know that policy would be cancelled because the no claims information they'd been asking for wasn't relevant to me."
