BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Wynne Evans has been hit with a backlash online as fans claimed the judges were 'favouring' him and his girlfriend has now spoken out
Strictly Come Dancing 's Wynne Evans' girlfriend, Liz Brookes, has taken to Instagram to show her support for her partner's performance, despite fans claiming he was "overmarked" by the judges. The Welsh opera singer and former Go Compare advert star performed an American smooth with his professional partner Katya Jones , which included elements of Foxtrot, Tango, Waltz, and Viennese Waltz.
Shirley Ballas called their dance "wonderful", while Anton praised it as "technically great, joie de vivre and energy, powerful lifts, smooth like it says on the tin". However, viewers at home disagreed with the judges' scores, accusing them of showing "favouritism" towards 52 year old Wynne. A third annoyed viewer said: "I swear to God! If Wynne dances s*** and they drool.. Be afraid Twitter. Be very afraid!" Criticism was directed at the judges too, with one remarking: "So Wynne has no criticism from Shirley but Sarah does? Why does Shirley do this every year? Always has to nit-pick on a woman.
