Since then, demand for his songs to be pulled off radio playlists has significantly increased, with rumours he had been quietly pulled from Radio One and future plans for Strictly 2019.But Strictly have now said that they will still continue to use tracks from the star’s catalogue, and confirmed the BBC have no plans to remove Jackson from any of their broadcasting services and shows.
A BBC spokesperson said: ‘We consider each piece of music on its merits and decisions on what we play on different networks are always made with relevant audiences and context in mind.’Jackson’s music has been used throughout the show’s 16-series run, most commonly Thriller – a regular feature on their Halloween specials.
