High winds caused flight delays in Scotland, with pilots making a second attempt at landing. This occurred before a rare red weather warning for central, southern, and western Scotland, predicting wind gusts up to 95mph. The news also reports on two more lynx sightings, potential record low temperatures in Braemar, and a yellow weather warning for ice in northern and western Scotland.

An initial attempt was thwarted by high winds, with pilots managing to land safely on their second attempt at around 08:30 on Friday morning.
