Strongsville Police arrested a second suspect in connection with the theft of baseball cards valued at more than $2 million.
Fifty-four vintage baseball cards valued at $2,123,477 were stolen while in transit to the Strongsville Sports Collectors Convention on April 18, police said.Memory Lane Inc., a sports memorabilia business near Los Angeles, shipped 54 rare baseball cards to the Best Western Plus in Strongsville
The hotel is close to the convention’s location on Royalton Road. A police report said, “Approximately $2 million to $3 million worth of baseball cards were stolen once the package of cards was dropped off.” Officers conducted a search warrant May 23 at a home on Roanoke Avenue in Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood and arrested Jacob Paxton of Brunswick.
