He was forced to start treatment he couldn't get on the NHS before he even had the money to pay for it
A young man battling an aggressive form of skin cancer has started his treatment to fight it, despite currently not having enough money to finish the course.
"It was starting to become a battle against time, so we just had to start it despite not having the money to finish it." Elliott's treatment will cost around £7,500 per month to provide the life-saving treatment he needs, described by his dad as "their last chance." Although they felt as though they didn't have the choice whether to start it, it wasn't without its consequences as the family are currently wondering how they will be able to keep funding the drugs he needs. Hugh continued: "In total, he'll need to be treated for two years and we currently having the funding for less than half of that time.
Some of the notable fundraisers that Elliott's family and friends have undertaken include sponsored walks, skydives and raffles. Future events such as Halloween parties and a 'Full Monty' performance have also been lined up to help raise money.
