Sorority recruitment from the University of Alabama is taking over‘Rushing’ is when students participate in the weeklong recruitment process to match up with a sorority – it is a mostly mutual process, with PNMs trying to decide whether a sorority would suit them, and sororities choosing girls that they feel would fit in with the sisterhood.
At the end of rush week, PNMs who are selected are invited to join a sorority on ‘bid day’. This year, ‘bid day’ falls on Sunday 15 August.
