Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Wataru Endo from Stuttgart
Stuttgart manager Sebastian Hoeneß has confirmed that midfielder Wataru Endo is closing in on a move to Liverpool.have been targetting new midfielders after the likes of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain left the club.
To date, they have completed the signings of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig.Over the last two weeks, the Anfield club have seen Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia reject them for a move to Chelsea.Stuttgart boss Hoeneß has now confirmed that the 30-year-old has travelled to Liverpool to finalise the transfer.
Whilst speaking to the media, he said: “Wataru Endo has been cleared by the club for talks. He flew to England for a medical check and wasn't in training today.“At the age of 30 he now has the opportunity to join Liverpool in the Premier League. It's a dream of his.”
