Victorian Deputy Premier Jacinta Allan has been instructed to build a team of advisers around her as shock reports seem to contradict Premier Daniel Andrews’ statements in recent days that he was not tired and still had work to do.
Multiple sources have suggested the potential handover gained traction in recent months as Ms Allan has now been advised to stay ready for a potential succession plan at a moment’s notice.
Ms Allan currently holds the support of the Victorian Labor Party’s biggest faction which is the left faction.
