The 40-year-old singer revealed she 'blacked out at the wheel' during the shocking incident as she reflected on her life over the past 12 months. The singer decided it was time to share her ordeal with her fans, posting a photo from the crash scene featuring a smashed telephone box and a police car with its blue lights flashing.

She wrote: 'This time last year I blacked out at the wheel... Thank you Jesus for my life. Thankful for another year... will speak more on the cause behind the black out another time. Just happy to be here.' In a dramatic revelation on The Receipts Podcast, she opened up about the heartache of her unexpected exit from the iconic girl group, saying: 'I didn't leave. I was replaced. I got a text message. Well, they told me that the band had disbanded, they said they didn't want to continue,' reports the Mirror. 'I was in LA because we were about to shoot the video. When I got back, I will never forget, I saw this paparazzi, and I was like, 'Who are they for? What's happening? ' He said, 'Well, the front of the newspaper'.' The podcast host, shocked by the news, questioned, 'So, you've basically been axed out of your own group, no one really told you and then on top of it, the narrative was that it was almost your fault for on top of it?'
