The NI Football League is exploring the potential for a change to the current playing calendar which would see summer football introduced here
Gerard Lawlor insists the Irish League can run alongside a busy GAA calendar if summer football is introduced here.
It would see the league operate when English and Scottish football is in its pre-season break, and also when the majority of amateur football in Northern Ireland is at a standstill. "We are always competing with someone. We believe in the product and we believe it is good and competitive," Lawlor said.
