Summerville hasn't played for Leeds United since the opening Championship weekend due to a groin strain
Crysencio Summerville could be given the green light to make his playing return on Tuesday night as Leeds United travel to Salford City in the Carabao Cup. The Whites will make the journey across the Pennines in high spirits after picking up their first league win of the campaign on Saturday at Ipswich Town.
The winger might have a point to prove, too, after seeing each of Saturday’s front four hit the back of the net and impress in the 4-3 win over Ipswich. Summerville won’t be joined in the side by Sam Byram, who limped out of the weekend’s game in the first half, though, with his own groin issue. “Yes, we'll see,” Farke said when asked about his plans on Tuesday night. “So it's good that we have right now two days of training because for Cree Summerville, for example, he was just an option for emergency case because he missed the last few weeks and still feels a bit of tightness in his adductor.
“Yes, I'm not sure if any other of the injured players will join us again we are forced to wait a little bit. Probably Sam Byram won't be available because obviously there's an adductor strain, I hope it's not too bad but yeah, we'll see. So far, so good today and then from tomorrow on we concentrate on Salford.”
