Sunderland will face Leeds in a Championship showdown, aiming to prove they are not coasting under interim manager Mike Dodds. While the game is crucial for promotion-chasing Leeds, Sunderland is not involved in the final drama at either end of the table. Both teams are looking for a win to improve their positions.
Sunderland will head to Elland Road for Tuesday night's Championship showdown determined to show they are not coasting to the end of the season under interim manager Mike Dodds .
“They are five big games and I have said that to the group," Dodds said of their remaining fixtures. "We played Leeds earlier in the season and West Brom earlier in the season and had positive results. “We deserved to win the game, we should have won the game and I don’t think they could have had any complaints if we had," he added. “I think they will be really happy with a point. Their goalkeeper Max O’Leary was quite clearly the man of the match. We had 20 shots on goal and in particular in the first half I thought we were excellent. I was really happy with us, in particular in possession of the ball.
