The rider suffered serious injuries following a crash at last week's North West 200
A number of riders in the British Superbike Championship have shown their support to injured Lee Johnston.
The 33-year-old's family revealed Johnston was facing a "slow road to recovery" after sustaining injuries including a broken femur, shoulder, a break in the foot and face, a number of broken ribs and a collapsed lung.He also received a blood transfusion on a golf course beside the North West 200 circuit before being airlifted to hospital.
They returned to the BSB this weekend at Donington Park, and many of them displayed number 13 stickers on their bikes and helmets - the number Johnston races under. Eight-time North West 200 Superbike winner Irwin said: "Thinking of our mate Lee Johnston this weekend at Donington park. Thanks @JackKennedy14 for offering the stickers out."Kennedy told Belfast Live: "Lee Johnston is a good friend of mine and it was terrible what happened. It looks like he has a long road of recovery ahead of him and I just hope it works out for him.
