A day after Jonathan Kent was cast for the upcoming DC Studios Superman movie, the actress who will be playing Martha Kent has been revealed.
, Neva Howell will be playing the role of Clark Kent’s adoptive mother Martha Kent in James Gunn’s Superman. Howell has previously appeared in films like October Sky, Novitiate, and Logan Lucky.
Martha has previously been played by quite a few actresses, including Diane Lane throughout the DCEU, Eva Marie Saint in Superman Returns, Phyllis Thaxter in the 1978 Superman film, and Annette O’Toole in the Smallville television series.. They’re joined by Nicholas Hoult, Skyler Gisondo, María Gabriela De Faría, Sara Sampaio, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, and more. The superhero movie is set to release theatrically on July 11, 2025.
