So happy they are helping them
A lot of us have felt the financial strain of the coronavirus pandemic, and are struggling to make rent and afford the homes we live in.
They have been appealing for donations from the general public so that they can keep their doors open and have so far raised £2,454,940. They have helped the zoo lobby the government to change the rules so that they can open to the public with social distancing measures in place, and it was announced earlier this week that they can now reopen on 15 June.
"The conservation work undertaken by the zoo is vital and along with the park itself reopening it is incredibly important that this amazing work is able to continue."
