Supermarket knocks Morrisons off 'most expensive' spot for first time in six months
A supermarket has swiped the unfortunate title of 'most expensive' from Morrisons for the first time in six months.
Little more than four months ago, Tesco was actually cheapest of all six main supermarkets, when its bill came in more than 10% cheaper, at £10.42. There are some notable savings to be made, including a 1kg pack of rice down from 71p to 48p, pasta sauce down from 57p to 39p and a 3.3kg box of laundry powder down from £3.30 to £2.69.
