Superstar jockey Jamie Kah has finally won her first Group 1 race in South Australia. Kah piloted Coco Sun to victory in the South Australian Derby at Morphetville on Saturday.
Kah rides Coco Sun to victory. The South Australian-born jockey has now won 13 Group 1 races with today’s triumph the first in her home state. Coco Sun trailed Air Assault at the turn, but burst clear at the 200m and held off a fast-finishing Warmonger. The commentators were in awe of the ride. “That is a peach of a ride. She didn’t draw an inside gate, she was in gate 8,” one said. “How did she do it? How did she get into that spot?” Another said.
