Two deputy US Marshals shot a would-be carjacker who pulled a gun on him while they were guarding Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s home in Washington, DC, authorities said.
Two federal police officers have shot a would-be carjacker who pulled a gun on one of them while they were guarding the home of a prominent Supreme Court Justice, authorities said.
Flowers, of Southeast DC, was arrested and treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.Metropolitan Police detectives are investigating the shooting, and recovered a semi-automatic handgun from the scene. The US Marshals office and Metropolitan Police Department declined to elaborate further on the case, which remains under investigation.
