The crash happened at around 5am on Sunday morning Police have arrested a murder suspect less than 12 hours after a man was hit and killed by a car. The Metropolitan Police were called to Barking Road in East Ham, east London, just after 5am this morning following a crash between a car and a pedestrian. A 35-year-old man was found injured at the scene, but despite officers giving him first aid, he died a short time later.
