He arrived at Birmingham's Shuttlesworth Airport around 2.30pm, from where he was shuttled directly to the city's federal courthouse for a hearing. Joran van der Sloot is handed over by Peruvian police to FBI agents for his extradition to the United States Holloway mysteriously disappeared on a trip to Aruba in 2005. She was last seen by her classmates returning from a bar with van der Sloot and two of his friends, later identified as Surinamese brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe.Holloway's body was never found. A judge in Alabama declared her legally dead in 2012.
