A man in his 40s has been arrested following a crash on Sunday night
Merseyside Police were called to Kelvin Grove, Toxteth , on Sunday, April 21, around 8pm following reports of a crash. They found a Mazda 6 had crashed with a Mercedes E220 and flipped on its roof, damaging two parked vehicles.
Police arrested a 40-year-old man from the Toxteth area on suspicion of drink driving at the scene, and he was treated in hospital for minor injuries. He remains under investigation.READ MORE: Teenager denies assault after boxer stabbed in Liverpool city centre brawl A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: "We have arrested a man on suspicion of drink driving following a road traffic collision in Toxteth last night, Sunday 21 April. At around 8.10pm, emergency services were called to Kelvin Grove to reports of a Mazda 6 in collision with a Mercedes E220. Further damage was also caused to two parked vehicles.
"A 40-year-old man from Toxteth was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and was treated at hospital for a minor injury. He remains under investigation. No other injuries were reported. Anyone who witnessed the incident can contact @MerPolCC with reference 24000361154."
