Four suspects have been named after police uncovered a £100,000 drugs factory containing cannabis edible sweets.
Officers carried out a drug warrant at an address on High Street in Rishton last month and found a 'large amount' of the Class B drug. Officers said are made to look like sweets and are attractive to youngsters but they can contain high levels of the drug tetrahydrocannabinol . An investigation was launched and following several weeks of enquiries three people from the Hyndburn area were arrested yesterday . They have all since been charged and were due to appear before Blackburn Magistrates’ Court today.They include: Daniel Smedley, 32, of Walmsley Street; Kristen Hall, 28, of Spring Street; and Richie Gardiner, 28, of Hermitage Street.
A force spokesperson added: "If you have information about suspected drug-dealing in your area, please continue to report it to us on 101 or online here. You can be confident that we will act on the information you provide, take drugs off the streets and prosecute those suspected of supplying them.Read next:
