South Central Pennsylvania only has one high school registered for girls flag football.
The incident reported shortly before 4 p.m. in the area of Red Spruce Lane was a hoax, according to Hampden Township Police.
A Hampden Township Police spokesperson said the incident reported Wednesday afternoon was a"swatting" incident and a hoax. "On May 29, 2024 at approximately 2:30 pm the Hampden Township Police Department responded to what was determined to be a swatting incident in the 1800 block of Red Spruce Lane in the Pinehurst development," the spokesperson said."With the assistance of Cumberland County SRT, and neighboring jurisdictions, it was determined to be hoax, no crime was committed and no one was in need of assistance. The scene has been cleared and there is no threat to the public.
