Kate Challinor, 44, spends her time covering scars with free inkings to bring confidence to patients after surgery.
A tattoo artist from Leeds, who uses her skills to cover mastectomy scars with floral designs for free, has received support from an unexpected source - Charles Bronson.
"I spend hours and days on every design, and they're completely free. Scarring is our battle wounds. Confidence is crucial to every woman." In 2014, he sold several pieces of his artwork and said he planned to use his art to support charities. Miranda got in touch with Bronson after reading his story on the internet, and she developed a curious interest for "naughty men."
Kate shared: "I was incredibly nervous to work on Liz. She had been through so much, I just wanted to make her feel good."After freelancing for 24 months, she launched the Inkredible Foundation in May 2023 - a charity that provides free tattoos of any size to cover scars. Kate started this charity with Stuart Challinor, 55, her husband, who works with adults with autism and is also the chairman of the charity.
Each session with Kate lasts more than 10 hours, and some need multiple sessions to finish. The charity even made a 2024 calendar, filled with women proudly showing their new tattoos covering their scars.
