A former Sydney Airport staffer has been sentenced to three years and four months jail time for stealing and selling $450,000 worth of electronics from cargo.
A former Sydney Airport freight handler has been handed a three year and four month jail term after stealing and selling almost half-a-million dollars of electronic goods from cargo.
The man, who was employed as a freight handler, had access to electronic devices in an air cargo container. Police discovered the worker would then either sell, gift or keep the goods he stole from the cargo container. The AFP discovered $189,000 in the boot of his car and found another $261,000 which had been transferred to personal bank accounts.He was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
