The NRMA told 9news.com.au that prices are expected to fall to just above 190 cents a litre in three to four weeks should wholesale prices stay where they are."The estimated average price in Sydney peaked at 214.6 cents per litre last Friday and should start to fall to the mid 180s cents per litre over the next 3-4 weeks," NRMA said in its weekly report on Monday.Prices today sit at 204 cents a litre in Sydney.
In other states and territories, the price cycle is different to Sydney with each at a different high or low.In Adelaide, prices sat just above 205 cents a litre at the start of the week as the state reached its peak and prices start to fall. In Brisbane, prices today are sitting at 185 cents a litre, with the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland claiming costs are still going up.Continue reading
