The Sydney Swans have made a brutal call on six players, telling Ryan Clarke, Will Gould, Hugo Hall-Kahan, Cameron Owen, Lachlan Rankin and Marc Sheather that they will not have their contracts extended. The delisting of Clarke and Gould come somewhat of a surprise, with Clarke playing 16 games this season , and Gould breaking through for his AFL debut in Round 5 and going on to play another three games.
Collingwood hit with Taylor Adams trade bombshell. Clarke’s 16 games followed 14 from last year, where he was implemented successfully as a forward tagger, nullifying some of the game’s best running defenders. The former North Melbourne player arrived at Sydney in the 2019 off-season and went on to play 57 games for the Swans, including the 2022 grand final.
