New York Mets slugger Pete Alonso is looking to win his third Home Run Derby, while Bobby Witt Jr., Gunnar Henderson and Marcell Ozuna will be among the other contenders on Monday.
The MLB All-Star festivities are set to get underway Monday night in the form of the Home Run Derby. Alonso is currently batting .240 with 19 home runs, 51 RBI, a .772 OPS and a 1.1 WAR this season. He will be making his fourth appearance in the All-Star Game on Tuesday. García made a go at the Home Run Derby in 2023, but he fell in the first round. This time, he'll have a home field advantage with the Rangers hosting the All-Star festivities.
