In two Tacoma incidents, a person's finger found was found in a driveway and a thief stole a car with two passengers in the back seat.

The Tacoma Police Department released information about two separate incidents that occurred during the week of the Fourth of July holiday. In the first, an unidentified person’s finger was found in a local driveway. In the other, a suspected thief stole a car with two passengers in the back seat and was arrested two days after the incident.

Calls were made to local hospitals and no one was treated over the Fourth of July holiday for any sort of dismembering injury, Muse’s statement added. Two passengers, one is 73 years old and the other is 69, were in the back seat of car when it was stolen. The victims don’t speak English and didn’t have any way to call for help.

Thanks to the help of members of the community and a local church, the victims were reunited with their family,Then on Friday, members of the TPD received a tip about the suspect and were able to take him into custody without incident.
