Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu has signalled his people’s intention to fight for “as long as it takes” to defend Taipei if invaded by China.
“The need will be for us to continue to stockpile the ammunitions and weapons we will need for Taiwan’s self-defence,” he told Sky News anchor and investigative journalist Peter Stefanovic. The Foreign Minister did not express concern over the United States sending over ammunition to Ukraine for its war against Russia, leaving less available to send to Taiwan if China decided to attack.
“We are engaging in very serious discussions with the US side to make sure the weapons are in steady supply to Taiwan,” Mr Wu said.
