Take That’s Howard Donald has revealed he had colonic irrigation in order to get ready for the band’s sellout Greatest Hits tour.

Speaking ahead of the group’s upcoming tour, Howard admitted: “It’s always uncomfortable when the water fills up the belly… you hold as long as you can, and then finally release.”The procedure, which cleans out the bowel with water hosed through the backside, was part of an eight-day “organ cleanse”.

After finishing the run in Cardiff in June, they will head to Europe for a further 14 gruelling appearances. And Howard insists that with his irrigation regime, everything certainly changes. He said: “Knowing thousands of people have bought tickets, I want to be super prepared, physically and mentally.”
