A takeaway praised by customers as being “better than Five Guys” has closed its doors. Burger Joe opened in Moreton in 2018 and was soon praised by locals as a “tastier, cheaper, independent” alternative to the larger chain restaurant, Five Guys. It contained a wide range of unique burgers, from the katsu chicken to salt and pepper halloumi, as well as halloumi nuggets, katsu chicken fries, and cheese and bacon onion rings.

However, last weekend, the business said it would be closing the south Wirral site for good. Burger Joe confirmed the news of its closure on its Facebook page.
