Read Field Gulls’ on-site report from the Lumen Field scrimmage/practice.
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Lumen Field, the Seattle Seahawks held their first Lumen Field practice under Mike Macdonald as part of the annual Seahawks Football Fest. As promised, it was a very relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with music and entertainment, of which I saw very little of it because I entered through Gate 5 instead of the Muckleshoot Heritage Plaza.
Even though I didn’t have a press credential and instead “worked” from Section 208 near midfield, this article is still going to generally adhere to Seahawks training camp media guidelines. This means I will not reveal any overly intricate details from the game pertaining to play designs, formations, who blitzed from what gap, etc. If you want intricacies of the types of motion used and any misdirection or coverage schemes, you’ll just have to wait for preseason.
