talkSPORT has been selected as the audio broadcast partner for the British & Irish Lions' highly anticipated tour to Australia this summer. The partnership will encompass ten games, delivering over 200 hours of exclusive coverage, including live commentaries, dedicated programs, and podcasts originating from Australia. This marks talkSPORT's fourth consecutive tour as the Lions' audio broadcast partner, 12 years since their last Australian tour in 2013.

As part of the agreement, talkSPORT will provide comprehensive match commentary, pre-match analysis, and post-match discussions for every game in the series. This includes three Test matches and six pre-Test matches, along with coverage of the pre-tour fixture against Argentina in Dublin, marking the first time the Lions will play in Ireland. Lions supporters can actively engage with talkSPORT throughout the tour through social media or phone-in segments to join the conversation with the expert panel of commentators. Following the Lions' encounter with Argentina at Aviva Stadium on Friday, June 20, the first Test of the Qatar Airways Lions Men's Series will commence on Saturday, July 19, at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium. The final and third Test is scheduled for Saturday, August 2, at Sydney's Accor Stadium, with a capacity audience of over 80,000. The Lions will face an invitational Australian and New Zealand team at Adelaide Oval in preparation for the opening Test. The tour itinerary also includes pre-Test fixtures in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne. Tom Halsey, Chief Commercial Officer of The British & Irish Lions, expressed his delight at continuing the partnership with talkSPORT for their fourth consecutive tour. Halsey acknowledged the team's outstanding performance as a broadcast partner during the 2013, 2017, and 2021 tours and emphasized their anticipation for further strengthening this successful collaboration. Halsey highlighted that thousands of fans worldwide will tune in to follow the action as it unfolds, and they are thrilled to have talkSPORT provide them with top-quality pre-match build-up, commentary, analysis, and discussions. Liam Fisher, Head of talkSPORT, expressed their excitement to bring the British & Irish Lions Tour to listeners for another summer of exceptional world-class rugby. Fisher underscored the talkSPORT team's immense pride in their relationship with the Lions and the significance of returning to Australia, the birthplace of their partnership, for their fourth consecutive tour. Fisher conveyed the team's eagerness to be on the ground in Australia, delivering all the games, commentaries, and action both on and off the pitch for what promises to be another captivating series.
