Tanya Bardsley has revealed the devastating impact her life-threatening seizure had on her family following complications with her attention deficit hyperactivity disorder medicine last year.

Casting her mind back to the fateful day, Tanya said she and her family were left terrified. ‘They all thought I’d died. It gives me the heebie-jeebies when I think about it [medication].’ADHD is a condition that affects people’s behaviour, according to the NHS website. People with ADHD can seem restless, may have trouble concentrating and may act on impulse.

‘I was in a really, really dark place. Luckily, I was fortunate that I had some money at the time and I just went to see the best of the best because I couldn’t go on living like this.’
